Blue Barn is a non-profit, no-kill dog shelter that is a safe haven for dogs of all breeds who need to be cared for during their transition to the perfect forever home. Their focus is to keep the animals healthy and comfortable. They also aim to educate people about characteristics of different breeds to help them find the best fit. A soft blue color palette is utilized to convey a calm and friendly feeling which is also reflected in their name. The logo features hand-lettering paired with a classic typeface. The look at feel of the identity is aimed to appeal to dog lovers who can sense that the dogs at Blue Barn receive expert health care and lots of love. Because of the expenses of running a higher-end dog shelter, the brand needed to reflect this look and feel to draw in the main target audience of middle/upper class families to keep up with such costs. The Dog Match app is designed to help people select the breeds of dogs that will be a perfect fit for their lifestyle and needs. This will help ensure new dog owners will adopt their new dog as a happy, life-long commitment.
